Cookie Policy

The browser storage we use and how to control optional analytics.

1. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small pieces of information a website can store in your browser. Local storage is a similar browser technology that keeps values on your device until removed. This policy explains the technologies used by the AnK Compute website; separate dashboards and external sites may have their own notices.

We provide the same choice for optional analytics even when the analytics service does not use tracking cookies. Necessary site delivery and features you request do not depend on accepting analytics.

2. Essential and requested-feature storage

ank-cookie-consent — first-party local storage supplied by AnK. Stores the policy version, your analytics choice and the time you saved it. Both acceptance and rejection are remembered for 180 days, after which you are asked again. The expired value may remain in browser storage until replaced or cleared, but it no longer grants consent.

theme — first-party local storage used by the site's theme component. Remembers the light or dark theme you select. It remains until you change it or clear browser storage.

__ai_search_input — first-party local storage used by the documentation assistant. Saves the unsent question you type so that it can be restored when the input opens again. The saved draft is removed when you submit the question, or when you clear browser storage. Submitted conversations are sent for processing as explained in the Privacy Policy.

These values support consent management and features you request. They are not used to measure visits or deliver advertising. You can clear them through browser settings, although doing so may reset preferences or remove an unsent draft.

3. Optional analytics

Provider: Vercel Web Analytics. Purpose: understand visits, page usage and broad device or browser characteristics so we can improve the website. Category: optional analytics. It is disabled until you expressly allow it.

Vercel describes Web Analytics as cookie-free, using request-derived identifiers with a visitor-identification window of up to 24 hours. This is not a promise that all aggregate analytics reports are deleted after 24 hours. Our integration removes query strings and fragments from analytics event URLs. We do not use advertising cookies or marketing pixels on this website.

On a fresh visit without valid analytics consent, the analytics script is not loaded. If you withdraw consent after the script has loaded, it may remain in the page until the page is reloaded, but subsequent analytics events are blocked. Withdrawal does not erase events already sent while you had allowed analytics.

4. Make or change your choice

The banner shows all available categories immediately. Reject optional keeps analytics off. Accept all enables the optional analytics category. To make an individual choice, use Allow analytics and then Save choices. All three buttons have equal prominence. There is no close button that silently accepts or rejects on your behalf.

You can keep browsing without making a decision; optional analytics stays off. Open Cookie settings in the footer to change or withdraw consent at any time. Changing the toggle alone does not save the decision: use Save choices, Reject optional or Accept all.

Your decision applies to this browser and website origin, not automatically to every device or another AnK service. A choice changed in another tab is synchronised. Clearing storage, an expired decision or a change to the consent-policy version causes the banner to ask again. If browser storage is unavailable, optional analytics remains disabled and the banner explains that your choice could not be saved.

5. Browser controls and external services

Your browser lets you inspect, delete or block cookies and local storage. Blocking all storage can affect theme preferences, consent persistence and saved input. Blocking optional analytics does not prevent access to this website.

Links to social networks and other external services take you to sites that control their own cookies and processing. We do not load those services' advertising pixels merely because their links appear on this website. Hosting and security systems can process ordinary network requests independently of optional analytics consent.

6. Updates and contact

We will update this inventory and consent controls when the website introduces or changes optional technologies. New purposes requiring consent will remain off until that consent is obtained. Read the Privacy Policy for information about personal-data processing and requests.
