Troubleshooting
The stuff that breaks at 4pm before a deadline, in the order you'll hit it.
No GPU detected
- Did you actually pick a GPU tier?
- Did you pick the
ubuntu-gpuimage? - Is the instance active (not still starting)?
- Run
nvidia-smiagain.
If it's still empty, stop before a long run and contact Support with the instance ID, tier, image, and the command output. That's everything we need to see what went wrong.
SSH is refused
Check the username, the instance address, and the public key you entered at creation — a typo in any one of them is the whole problem. Use the private key that matches that public key. And never, ever send the private key to support.
Not enough balance
Top up the wallet before launching a paid config. Usage bills in USD; top-ups can be made in USD or NPR. Run out mid-run and the instance stops — so keep a little headroom.
Need a different GPU
Send ANK the model, the memory you need, how long it'll run, and your preferred hardware, and they can confirm capacity for you.
